IKD Sault Ste. Marie

Chris Troch is a fifth degree black belt, awarded by Master Terruyuki Okazaki, 10th Dan. He is a talented and dedicated karate-ka who has been training for over twenty five years at the Sault Ste. Marie Japan Karate Association. As an original member, he is the most experienced and senior of all the instructors in the area.

Prior to recently becoming the owner of the Sault Ste. Marie JKA dojo. Mr. Troch volunteered his services as an administrator and instructor of the Sault Ste. Marie JKA when the dojo was without a resident instructor from 1990-1998. When the building at 54 Wellington St. West was acquired as the headquarters dojo in 1994, Mr. Troch took an active role in renovating the dojo as one of the best permanent dojos in Canada.

Mr. Troch is a member of the National Karate Team and has travelled extensively all over the world, competing and visiting other dojos.
