·       Kenshusei class will be held Saturday February 27 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. 

·       The Ontario Karate College is announcing the opening of its new dojo in North York. Please follow the link below for information. Although the Permit was received today (Friday Feb. 26), class will be held on Monday March 1, 2010 for students living in the area. Please visit the class to train and help the dojo get started. The following students live in the area: Tim Mahoney, Ksenia and Family, Marc and Michelle Boismenu, Gianna Marks, Olga and family and others. Training will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

An open house will be held for new students on Monday, March 8 from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Please encourage your family and friends to join. Tim Mahoney will be in charge of registration. This central location is easily accessible by the Glencairn Subway.

·       Yoga and Pilates will be held at HQ dojo. Please visit: www.ontariokaratecollege.com for information. Helen Petras will conduct the class. A great way to supplement your karate training! 

·       ISKF Ontario new dojo ISKF Hamilton will be holding its first karate exams on March 9 at 6:00pm. Instructor is Martin Gellizeau, 3^rd Dan.

 ·       Lisa Greenaway has a new dojo in Ridgeway.

 ·       SSM, Garden River, Echo Bay and Bruce Mines ISKF exams – April 6 to 8.

 ·       Brian Yong-Kee has suggested a karate demonstration during half time at the Provincials (between kyu and dan ranks). Perhaps we can have a competition for the best demonstration. Let Sensei know what you think and if you will participate. No flashy stuff, just good karate with the four elements-speed, power, sharpness and spirit.

 ·       Please continue to send in your judges and officials volunteer forms for the Provincials. We need lots more.

 ·       The Ontario Karate college will be holding a small fund raising dance in aid of the Guyana Karate College building fund on Saturday May 15, 2010. Please see the attachments for information. www.guyanakaratecollege.com . It would be greatly appreciated if you can support this event for those less fortunate.

 ·       ISKF Master Camp is June 11 to 18. Special guest is the legendary Master Kanazawa, 10^th Dan. Both he and Master Okazaki are in their 79^th year and still very active. Don’t miss this chance to train with them!

 ·       The 11^th ISKF Pan Ams will be in Guyana from August 12 to 15. Brown and black belt youth may attend. 30 Pan Am countries invited.

 ·       Master Teruyuki Okazaki, 10^th Dan has confirmed he will be attending the OKC 2010 Shoto Camp at Camp White Pine from September 3 to 6. Dan examinations will be held for shodan to godan. Prices for last year’s attendees will be almost the same, but at a slight increase for the camp.

 ·       Nationals will be in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thanksgiving weekend.

 ·       The Application for the new dojo has been submitted to the City of Toronto.

 ·       Welcome back Dr. David Barrett, Shodan 1986!
